『照明効果：ライティングの基礎技術について』

撮影、音声、照明。映画作りにおいてはどれも蔑ろに出来ない要素ではありますが、意外と注力されないのが照明だったりします。照明というのは、作り込んでいるものほど自然に映り、一見して照明技術を駆使していないように見えるから、というのも一つの一因かもしれません。

逆に全く照明に力を入れていない映像は、質感が均一で奥行きを感じさせなかったり、被写体が暗かったりとホームビデオの延長の用になってしまいます。一般の自主映画で画作りがチープだなと思える作品の多くは、照明を蔑ろにした作品が多いように思います。

映像収録機器の進化によって見たままの映像を高解像度で収録されるようにはなりましたが、それでも一つ上のクオリティを目指す上で、照明効果に力を入れたいものです。

今回は3灯照明の基礎知識からディフューザーを使用した光量調整、カラーフィルターを使用した色温度変化など、照明に関する基礎知識をまとめてみました。もちろん、ハンディライトを使用しても基礎的な技術基盤は同じなので、これから照明を始める人や、始めたばかりのかたには参考になるかと思います。
